Function
DL tartaric acid, colorless crystal, used as an acid flavoring agent, with an acidity 1.2 to 1.3 times stronger than citric acid. It has a high solubility and strong chelating ability to metal ions, and can be used in various foods. It can be used in an appropriate amount according to production needs. It has an aroma enhancing effect on wine, but is weaker than citric acid. Generally used in combination with other organic acids such as citric acid or malic acid.
Product Usage
DL tartaric acid can be used as an acidity regulator, chelating agent, antioxidant synergist, and complex bulking agent. It can be used in the manufacture of tartrate salts, as a pH stabilizer in electroplating blueprints, as an acid flavoring agent in the food industry, primarily as a complexing agent in industry, as well as in medicine as an experimental reagent, masking agent, beer foaming agent, and also in the tanning industry.
