Function
Bromocresol violet is insoluble in water, yellow when it is soluble in ethanol, purple red when it is soluble in dilute sodium hydroxide and dilute sodium carbonate solution, and its melting point is 241-242 ℃.
Product Usage
Bromocresol violet is an acid-base indicator for chromatographic analysis and nonaqueous solution titration. PH discoloration range: 5.2 (yellow) – 6.8 (purple). Adsorption indicator. Internal standard of amino acid chromatography. Titrate thiocyanate by silver salt method. The serum protein was precipitated by spectrophotometry.
