The main components of Isophorone are α- Isophorone (3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one) and β- A mixture of isomers of isophorone (3,5,5-trimethyl-3-cyclohexen-1-one) with extremely strong solubility, capable of dissolving various organic compounds, polymers, resins, and other chemical substances. This product is a high boiling point solvent. Mainly used in fields such as pesticides, coatings, and canned coatings.

Product Usage

Isophorone can be used in the following fields:

1. Isophorone is widely used as a high boiling solvent in the paint and varnish industry, especially for its excellent solubility in PVDF resins. It can also be used as a leveling agent for acrylic resin, alkyd resin, epoxy resin, and phenolic resin
2. Isophorone is an important chemical raw material that can be used to synthesize IPDA (isophorone diamine), IPDI (isophorone diisocyanate), and 3,5-dimethylphenol
3. Due to its excellent emulsification and stability, isophorone can also be used in herbicide and insecticide formulations
