Function: 

Decane is a colorless liquid with a melting point of -30 ℃, boiling point of 174 ℃, relative density of 0.7301, and refractive index of 1.4120. Stable in the air and burns above the ignition point. It is soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, paraffin oil, and benzene, but not in water. It exists in paraffin based petroleum. A mixture of decane and other advanced alkanes is used as a raw material for petroleum jelly, lubricants, and other chemical products.

Application:

2.As a medium boiling point solvent, used for instrument washing, dry cleaning, printing ink odorless solvent.
