Tert-butanol, also known as trimethyl methanol, 2-methyl-2-propanol, etc. It is a colorless crystal, a colorless volatile liquid in the presence of a small amount of water, with a camphor-like odor, hygroscopic, flammable, and has higher toxicity and anesthetic properties than other alcohols. Tert-butanol is soluble in most organic solvents, such as alcohols, esters, ketones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, and is one of the widely used petrochemicals.
