Function:
Sodium ferrocyanide is soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol. It is easy to effloresce in the air, and at a temperature of 50-60°C, it will crystallize quickly. If dried at a higher temperature, it will become a hard block anhydrous salt. It does not decompose in unheated dilute acid, but in boiling concentrated acid, free hydrocyanic acid is generated. Under the influence of oxidizing agents, it is oxidized to sodium ferricyanide. When burning strongly, it will completely decompose and release nitrogen, and generate sodium cyanide and iron carbide.
Application:
It is can be used in the manufacture of pigments, paints, coatings and graphite as well as printing and dyeing, medicine, steel carburizing and other industries.
Storage:
Stored in a cool dry and ventilated place
