P-Nitrobenzoic Acid(PNBA) is a light yellow crystalline flake. Soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, acetone, and boiling water, slightly soluble in benzene and carbon disulfide, insoluble in petroleum ether. Mainly used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and also as a raw material for the production of dyes
Application:
It is an intermediate in pharmaceuticals, dyes, veterinary drugs, and sensitizing agents, capable of producing procaine hydrochloride, 4- (aminomethyl) benzoic acid, folic acid, benzocaine, cephalosporin V, p-aminobenzamide glutamic acid, berenyl, reactive brilliant red M-8B, reactive red purple X-2R, color film couplers, rust removers, sunscreen agents, etc.
