Product Usage

1. Solid lubricant

Molybdenum disulfide is an important solid lubricant, especially suitable for high temperatures and pressures. It also has diamagnetism and can be used as a linear photoconductor and a semiconductor that displays P-type or N-type conductivity, with the functions of rectification and energy conversion.

2. Catalyst

Molybdenum disulfide can also be used as a catalyst for complex hydrocarbon dehydrogenation.

3. Solid lubricating oil

It is also known as the “King of Advanced Solid Lubricants”. Molybdenum disulfide is a solid powder made by chemically purifying natural molybdenum concentrate powder and changing its molecular structure. This product is black with a slight silver gray color, with a metallic luster and a smooth touch. It is insoluble in water. The product has the advantages of good dispersibility and non adhesion. It can be added to various oils and fats to form a non adhesive colloidal state, which can increase the lubricity and extreme pressure of oils and fats. It is also suitable for high temperature, high pressure, high speed, and high load mechanical working conditions, extending the service life of the equipment.

4. Friction materials

Molybdenum disulfide is mainly used as a friction material to reduce friction at low temperatures and increase friction at high temperatures. It has low ignition loss and is easily volatile in friction materials. Friction reduction: Molybdenum disulfide processed by supersonic airflow has a particle size of 325 to 2500 mesh, a micro particle hardness of 1-1.5, and a friction coefficient of 0.05 to 0.1. Therefore, it can play a role in reducing friction when used in friction materials; Friction enhancement: Molybdenum disulfide is non-conductive and contains copolymers of molybdenum disulfide, molybdenum trisulfide, and molybdenum trioxide. When the temperature of the friction material increases sharply due to friction, the molybdenum trioxide particles in the copolymer expand with increasing temperature, playing a role in increasing friction;

5. Anti oxidation

Molybdenum disulfide is obtained through a comprehensive reaction of chemical purification, with a pH value of 7-8 and slightly alkaline. It covers the surface of friction materials and can protect other materials from oxidation, especially making them less prone to detachment and enhancing adhesion
