Function:
Highly flammable. Slightly soluble in water; soluble in ethanol and ether. When exposed to oxygen, ethers tend to form unstable peroxides. Ethyl, isobutyl, ethyl tert-butyl and ethyl tert-pentyl ethers are particularly dangerous in this respect. Ether peroxides can sometimes be observed deposited as clear crystals on containers or along the surface of liquids.
Application:
This product is used in organic synthesis, can be used in polymerization and copolymerization to produce polyvinyl ether, and also used in coatings, adhesives, additives, plasticizers, etc.
Storage:
Stored in a cool dry and ventilated place
