Function: 

Aluminum Oxide (Alumina) is the most widely used oxide, chiefly because it is plentiful, relatively low in cost, and equal to or better than most oxides in mechanical properties. Density can be varied over a wide range, as can purity-down to about 90% alumina-to meet specific application requirements. Alumina ceramics are the hardest, strongest, and stiffest of the oxides. Aluminum oxide has high spheroidization ratio, high filling Ratio, high thermal conductivity, trace ionic impurities.

Application:

1.It is used for polishing abrasives, artificial teeth, artificial bones, magnetic tapes, picture tubes, ruby and sapphire, high-density ceramic substrates for electrical purposes, etc

2.It can also be used as a binder for aluminum silicate fibers, catalyst carrier, and textile additive.
