Function: 

2-Methyl-1,3-propanediol is a colorless and transparent liquid with low viscosity, which can be used as a solvent to dissolve other ingredients in cosmetic formulas. Almost non irritating to skin and eyes.

Application: 

It can be used to manufacture unsaturated polyester, liquid saturated polyester, thermoplastic polyester resin (modified with PET and PBT), alkyd resin, polyurethane resin, diester plasticizer, lubricant, etc. It is also used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc. The obtained polymer has characteristics such as low viscosity, low melting point, low temperature resistance, and weather resistance.
