Function:
Zinc acetate dihydrate is a white, monoclinic, needle-like crystalline flake with a slightly acetic acid odor. It is soluble in water and ethanol. As a common transition metal salt, it is widely used in selective catalytic pyrolysis of biomass.
Application:
- Used as a catalyst for the production of vinyl acetate and polyvinyl alcohol, printing and dyeing mordant, medical astringent, wood anticorrosion and porcelain glaze
- Used as analytical reagents, chromatographic reagents and mordants
- Used to measure calcium and strontium, analyze sodium by spot, measure hydrogen sulfide, precipitate and remove sulfur in sulfide
- Reagents for testing proteins, tannins, urobilin, phosphates and blood
