Tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP), abbreviated as TBHP, is one of the most commonly used alkyl hydroperoxides. The commodity is generally a light yellow transparent non-volatile liquid, slightly soluble in water, and miscible with organic solvents.
- It can be used as an initiator for washing products, shampoo lotions, rubber industry, diesel additives, anaerobic glue and other glues.
- It can be used for dyeing and printing of cotton, viscose, silk, cotton fiber and other fibers and their fabrics, also used for dyeing polyester/viscose blended fabrics, used as catalyst, bleaching powder, deodorant.
- It is used as a drying agent and polymerization initiator for various coatings such as unsaturated melamine resin coatings, and is also widely used as a raw material for the synthesis of other organic peroxygen.
