Function:
Poly(acrylic acid) is a water-soluble polymer, alias acrylic acid homopolymer, with the chemical formula [C3H4O2]n, which is weakly acidic.
Polyacrylic acid is formed by polymerizing acrylic monomers in aqueous solution with persulfate as initiator.
Application:
- Used as scale inhibitor and dispersant in industrial water treatment. Compatibility is good. It can also be used for pre-treatment of drinking water. Used to separate red mud in the preparation of alumina. Used in chlor-alkali plants to refine brine.
- It is used to prepare finishing agents for leather and some high-end products, and to prepare acrylic resin paints, etc.
- Used as leather finishing filler, textile sizing agent and water quality stabilizer
- It is mostly used in the manufacture of cosmetics. It can be used as an ointment to promote the absorption of Griseofulvin mold, and it can also be used to control the release of drugs.
Storage:
Store in a dry, cool, well ventilated place.
