Function:
Guanidine can interact with microbial proteins, nucleic acids and other biomacromolecules to destroy the cell structure and physiological functions of microorganisms. It has an inhibitory or killing effect on a variety of bacteria, fungi and viruses. It can be used to kill harmful microorganisms in the field of disinfection and sanitation to keep the environment or objects clean and hygienic.
Guanidine carbonate is an important raw material for the synthesis of other guanidine salts. By reacting with different acids, various guanidine salts can be generated. These guanidine salts are widely used in many fields, such as in the manufacture of drugs in the medical field and in the synthesis of new functional materials in the field of materials science.
Application:
As a raw material for drug synthesis, it can be used to synthesize some pharmacologically active guanidine salt drugs, such as guanethidine for the treatment of hypertension.
During the electroplating process, guanidine carbonate can be used as an additive to adjust the pH and conductivity of the plating solution, improve the quality of the electroplating layer, make the electroplating layer more uniform and dense, and improve the corrosion resistance and appearance quality of the plated parts.
In hospitals, laboratories and other places, guanidine carbonate can be made into disinfectants for disinfecting environmental surfaces, medical equipment, etc., effectively killing various harmful microorganisms and preventing cross-infection.
