Function
Methyl acrylate is soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, and benzene, slightly soluble in water, and is a monomer for synthesizing polymers. It is mainly used as a second monomer for acrylic fibers, and is widely used in coatings, adhesives, and other industries as a copolymer of styrene, vinyl acetate, and other polymers.
Product Usage
- It is a monomer for organic synthesis intermediates and synthetic polymers. Copolymer rubber synthesized from methyl acrylate has good high-temperature and oil resistance properties. Copolymerization with acrylonitrile can alter the spinnability, plastic resistance, and dyeing properties of Chemicalbook polyacrylonitrile fibers. Copolymerization with methyl methacrylate, vinyl acetate, or styrene is a high-performance coating and floor polish agent.
- Used for resin synthesis, formulation of plastic coatings, processing of leather, textiles, and paper, as well as as as as adhesives.
- Manufacturing polymers. Intermediate. Activator.
