Function

Imidazolidinylurea is a commonly used preservative in cosmetics, with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It can inhibit Gram negative and positive bacteria, and has a certain inhibitory effect on yeast and mold. It is mainly used to inhibit microbial growth and can be compatible with various components present in cosmetics. The experimental results show that its antibacterial ability is not affected by surfactants, proteins, and other special additives in cosmetics

Product Usage

Imidazolidinyl urea can be used for cream, shampoos, lotions, conditioners and other products. It can be used alone or in combination with Nipagin esters, IPBC, etc. to enhance its anti-corrosion effect. The pH value range is 3-9, with a general addition amount of 0.2-0.4% and a maximum allowable addition amount of 0.6%. It can be added over a wide temperature range (<90 ℃). Usually, imidazolidinyl urea is used as a cosmetic preservative in combination with Nipagin ester or Kaisong CG. It can be used in creams, milk, shampoos, etc., especially suitable for some advanced nutritional cosmetics that are prone to being infected with copper green trichomonas when the pH value is slightly alkaline.
