Function
Hydrazine sulfate, is a salt formed by hydrazine and sulfuric acid. The pure product is colorless scale crystal or rhombic crystal. Tasteless. Slightly soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water, and the aqueous solution is acidic. Insoluble in alcohol.
Product Usage
Hydrazine sulfate is mainly used for gravimetric determination of nickel, cobalt and cadmium, purification of rare metals, separation of polonium and tellurium, and precipitation of chlorate, hypochlorite and carboxyl compounds. It is also used for the preparation of isoniazid, furacilin, baisheng hydrazine, anhydrous hydrazine, etc., and also used as reducing agent, pesticide and sterilization agent. Hydrazine sulfate is a nutritional supplement in the United States to combat the symptoms of anorexia and emaciation caused by cancer.
