Function:
Edible casein is pure natural bovine cheese protein extract. The appearance is granular or powdery, and the color is milky white or light yellow. Widely used in food processing industry (non-dairy creamer, casein phosphopeptide, etc.) and industrial chemistry (casein labeling glue, protein glue, leather tanning agent, leather pigment finishing agent, textile finishing agent, medical latex industry, papermaking , casein fiber, etc.) and fields such as bioengineering and pet food.
Application:
- Casein is mainly used as a base material for coatings, adhesives for wood, paper and cloth, food additives, etc. When used as the base material of the coating, it has excellent water resistance and can be well dispersed in the pigment to improve the uniformity of the coating. In addition, rennet protein is mainly used in the manufacture of plastic buttons due to its good fluidity and ease of application. Casein is evenly mixed with slaked lime, sodium fluoride and copper sulfate, and then mixed with kerosene to obtain casein glue, which is a kind of adhesive used in aviation industry and wood processing department.
- Casein is also used in medicine and biochemical reagents.
- In the food industry, casein is mainly used as a nutritional fortifier for solid food, as a thickening and emulsification stabilizer in food processing, and sometimes as a binder, filler and carrier. In food, casein is especially suitable for cheese, ice cream (the dosage is 0.3%~0.7%), meat products (such as ham, sausage, the dosage is 1%~3%) and aquatic meat products; bread and biscuits are fortified with 5% dosage protein in; 3% in mayonnaise. Because casein is the most complete protein, it can also be combined with cereal products to make high-protein cereal products, food for the elderly, food for infants and young children, and food for diabetes.
