Function
Benzyl benzoate is white oily liquid in appearance, slightly viscous, and pure product is sheet crystal. It is a good fixative, diluent or solvent in essence, especially in flower fragrance. It can be used as a modifier in heavy floral and oriental fragrance types, as well as in fragrance types such as tuberose, ylang, lilac, and gardenia. It is also a stabilizer for high carbon aldehydes or alcohol flavorings, and is a good solvent for certain solid flavorings. In the edible essence formula, it is also commonly used as a fixative.
Product Usage
Benzyl benzoate can be used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, as a fixing agent for spices, as a flavoring agent for candy, as a plasticizer for plastics, and as an insect repellent. It can be used as a fixative for a variety of floral essence, and it is also the only best solvent for solid perfumes that are difficult to dissolve in essence.
