Function:
MOPS Buffer, 3-MorpholinoPropanesulfonicbuffer, is a biological buffer with a buffer range of 6.5 to 7.9. It is suitable for electron transfer and phosphorylation of chloroplast thin layer preparation; it can be formulated into various agar cultures. Base, used as a non-toxic buffer in minimal medium for the culture of Streptomycesfaecalisand cephalosporin production; as an electrolyte system component for two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (IEF); also applicable to Northern Hybridization, as a buffer for RNA separation and membrane transfer.
