Function: 

Tributyl phosphate is an organic compound. It is a colorless and almost odorless liquid. It is mainly used as solvent, plasticizer of nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, chlorinated rubber and PVC, extractant of rare metals, and heat exchange medium. Due to its low surface tension, slightly soluble in water physical properties, it can be used as an industrial defoamer to effectively make the formed foam film in an unstable state and rapidly defoamer. It cannot be used for food or cosmetics.

Application:  

1.Chemical reagent, high boiling point solvent；

2.Used as the main plasticizer of nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, chlorinated rubber and polyvinyl chloride, as well as the solvent, defoamer, antistatic agent, dye and printing and dyeing auxiliary for coatings, adhesives and inks.

It is also used as heat exchange medium, building material additive, lubricating oil pressure resistance and anti-wear agent.

It is used as flame retardant of aircraft hydraulic oil and solvent for extraction and purification of rare earth elements, defoamer of oil casing well cement, anti-aircraft entrainment additive of paint and ground finish, solvent for nuclear fuel processing, and carrier of fluorescent dyes. Extractant for purification of wet process phosphoric acid.

It is strictly prohibited to use it in human and animal food and feed additives.
