Thiourea is the main raw material for producing thiourea dioxide. In the fields of medicine (sulfathiazole, methylthiouracil, tetrazolium, nitrazole, fluorouracil), pesticides (insecticides, fungicides, mites, herbicides, virus prevention, etc.), fertilizers (nitrogen fertilizer synergists), silk industry, agriculture, metal beneficiation, etc.

Product Usage

1. Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry

Many medical molecules contain structural fragments of thiourea, which is also an important intermediate in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. For example, many oral hypoglycemic drugs and anti-thyroid drugs currently on the market belong to the thiourea class molecules

2. Pesticide field

Thiourea is an intermediate of fungicides such as seed dressing and herbicides such as acetochlor and tertiazine

3. Organic synthesis

Used as a catalyst for the production of thiourea derivatives such as methyl thiourea, diethylthiourea, diphenylthiourea, and thiourea dioxide, as well as for the production of phthalic anhydride and fumaric acid.

Used for preparing epoxy resin rapid curing agents, synthesizing resin coatings, and anion exchange resins. It can also be used as a toughening agent for melamine formaldehyde resin adhesive

4. Photographic materials

As a developer and toner, as a reducing agent for azo sensitive paper

5. Accelerator

Metal mineral flotation agents, dye dyeing aids, processing aids for fabrics, nylon and polyester fibers, paper processing agents, electroplating additives, metal rust inhibitors, insecticides, fertilizers, etc
