Function
It is an intermediate of quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactants. It can react with ethylene oxide, dimethyl sulfate, diethyl sulfate, chloromethane, chlorobenzyl chloride, etc. to generate different quaternary ammonium salt cations; Alkyl betaine zwitterionic surfactant can be obtained by reacting with sodium chloroacetate; Reacting with hydrogen peroxide can yield amine oxide products.
