Function: 

Needle-like or large needle-like crystals, usually containing 1mol of water of crystallization. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether and chloroform, slightly soluble in petroleum ether.

Application: 

1. It is mainly used to make glutaric anhydride.
2. The raw material for producing glutaric anhydride. It is used as initiator for polymerization of synthetic resin and rubber.
