Function
MDBA is a liquid secondary diamine, in which the hydrogen atom on each amino group is replaced by a secondary butyl. In a limited space, the combination of active hydrogen atoms and secondary butyl produces many unique properties. The amino group forms urea bonds that affect the hard segment, while butyl acts as an internal plasticizer. It is connected to the polymer matrix and neither leaches nor precipitates. At the same time, alkyl increases the solubility of diamine, making it almost capable of mixing with any polyol and polyamine.
Product Usage
MDBA is mainly used for hard foam, soft foam, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.
