2,4-dichlorophenol, also known as 4,6-Dichlorophenol, is an important raw material for various pesticides and pharmaceutical intermediates. On pesticides, organic phosphorus insecticides such as propafenophos, herbicides 2,4-D, 2,4-dibutyl ester, chlorpyrifos, metformin, imidacloprid, propafenoxazole, and new fungicides such as cyanobacterium can be synthesized. In terms of medicine, it can be used as an important raw material for the drug thiodichlorophenol.
