Function:

Salicylhydroxamic acid pink to orange red solid powder, slightly soluble in water, soluble in alkaline solution, with a salicylic acid odor. It can form chelates with various metals such as tin and tungsten, with good selectivity and foaming properties. It is commonly used for the collection of oxidized minerals.

Application:

Salicylhydroxamic acid is mainly used as a collector or extractant for rare earth minerals, copper oxide ores, lead zinc oxide ores, gold mines, kaolin, and organic synthesis intermediates. Because of its special structure and corresponding physical and chemical properties, salicylic hydroxamic acid is also an important metal complexing agent. As hydroxamic acid is a weak donor, it is also used in enzyme inhibitors, iron carrier proteins, DNA cleavage, metal nuclease, drug delivery systems, etc.
