p-Toluenesulfonicacidmonohydrate, a white solid at room temperature and pressure, is a strong acid and has strong hygroscopicity. P-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate is an important reagent for organic synthesis, often using its acidity to promote the dehydration of alcohols alkenylation reaction.

Application: 

1. It is important organic synthesis intermediate, suitable for explosives, medicine, synthetic resin, polyether, cosmetics, tobacco, food, etc.;
2. Used in lipidation, dehydration, alkylation, dealkylation, Beckman rearrangement, polymerization and depolymerization reactions .
