Function
HEMC is a non ionic polymer in the form of white or almost white powder, easily soluble in cold water but insoluble in hot water. The solution exhibits strong pseudoplasticity and provides high shear viscosity. HEMC is mainly used as adhesives, protective colloids, thickeners and stabilizers, and emulsifying additives. Compared with HPMC, hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose HEMC has stronger water retention, viscosity stability, mold resistance, and dispersibility than hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose HPMC. It has good anti flow and hanging effects, long opening time, high early strength, strong high-temperature adaptability, easy mixing, and convenient operation, making it more suitable for coatings and building materials.
