• Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-BETA-D-glucuronide cyclohexylammonium salt is a substrate for ß-glucuronide glycosidase and is converted by the enzyme to an intense blue tryptophan. It is used to detect Gus genes in bacterial colonies, such as E. coli, or for histochemical applications.
