Function:
Plasticizing effect: As a plasticizer, triethyl phosphate can be inserted between polymer molecular chains, weakening the forces between polymer molecules, thereby increasing the flexibility, ductility and plasticity of the polymer.
Solvent function: It is an excellent solvent that can dissolve a variety of organic and inorganic substances and can be miscible with water and organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, benzene, etc. in any proportion.
Catalytic effect: Triethyl phosphate can be used as a catalyst for a variety of chemical reactions, which can accelerate the reaction rate and improve the reaction selectivity and yield.
Flame retardant effect: When decomposed by heat, it releases substances such as phosphoric acid, which can form a protective film on the surface of the burning object, isolating oxygen and preventing further combustion, thereby exerting a flame retardant effect.
Application:
Plastics industry: It is widely used in the plastics industry as a plasticizer and flame retardant and can be used in the production of plastics such as polyvinyl chloride and polyester resin.
Rubber industry: It can be used as a plasticizer and softener for rubber, which can increase the flexibility, plasticity and cold resistance of rubber, improve the processing and use performance of rubber, and improve the quality and service life of rubber products. It is often used in the manufacture of tires, hoses, tapes and other rubber products.
Pharmaceutical industry: used as solvent and intermediate in the pharmaceutical industry to dissolve poorly soluble drugs and improve the bioavailability of drugs.
