Function
SMFP is a white powdery solid that is an excellent anticaries agent and desensitizer for toothpastes. It is mainly used as an additive in fluorinated toothpastes, replacing sodium fluoride as an anticaries agent and tooth desensitizer in toothpaste formulations.
Product Usage
As an anti caries agent and tooth desensitizer, sodium monofluorophosphate generally accounts for 0.7% – 0.76% of the toothpaste formula. At present, sodium fluoride has been basically replaced abroad, and has gained an advantage in the competition with stannous fluoride. It is also used to clean metal surfaces and as a flux. It is also used to make special glass. It is also used as fungicide and preservative.
