In the dye industry, it is used to synthesize organic intermediates and as an auxiliary agent for preparing sulfur dyes. In the leather industry, it is used for dehairing and tanning of raw hides and is also used for wastewater treatment.

Application:

Pulp and paper industry: used to remove lignin from wood chips during pulping.
Petroleum industry: Sodium hydrosulfide can be used to remove sulfur-containing impurities from petroleum products during petroleum refining.
Textile industry: used in the dyeing and finishing process of textiles.
Water treatment: can be used to treat industrial wastewater containing heavy metal ions.
