Function:
Polyacrylamide is relatively stable to heat. Its solid will not soften until 220-230℃, and its aqueous solution will not degrade significantly until after 110℃. Polyacrylamide is insoluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, chemicalbook gasoline, kerosene, and diesel, but soluble in water. Polyacrylamide reacts with alkali to produce partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide, and produces imidization reaction under strong acidity (pH≤2.5), reducing its solubility in water.
Application:
Polyacrylamide (PAM) has the water solubility of polymer materials and the open acyl groups on its carbon chain. It is widely used in printing and dyeing, papermaking industry, ore dressing, coal preparation, oil field, metallurgy industry, decorative building materials, wastewater treatment and other fields. Polyacrylamide is widely used as lubricant, granulator, clay stabilizer, oil remover, fluid loss reducer and viscosity enhancer in drilling, alkalization, fracturing, water plugging, cementing and secondary oil field and tertiary oil recovery. It is an extremely important oil and gas field chemical product.
