Function:
Surface activity: Sodium methyl taurate has a certain surface activity, which can reduce the surface tension of the liquid and make it easier for the liquid to spread on the solid surface. In some applications, it can play the role of emulsification, dispersion, wetting, etc.
Acid-base buffering: It can adjust and maintain the pH of the system to a certain extent, play a buffering role, help keep the pH value of the environment relatively stable, and reduce the adverse effects that may be caused by acid-base changes.
Application:
Shampoo: Adding it to shampoo can reduce the surface tension of water, allowing the shampoo to spread better on the hair, effectively cleaning the grease and dirt on the hair and scalp, and it also has a certain foaming effect, which can produce rich and delicate foam and enhance the use experience.
Detergent: In industrial detergents, sodium methyl taurate can be used as a component of surfactant to enhance the detergent’s ability to remove oil and stains, effectively disperse and emulsify oil, make the oil easier to be washed away by water, and improve the cleaning effect of the detergent.
