Function:
Levulinic acid is an organic compound with the molecular formula of C5H8O3. Easily soluble in water and some organic solvents, but insoluble in gasoline, kerosene, turpentine, carbon tetrachloride, etc. Atmospheric distillation almost does not decompose, and if heated for a long time, it will lose water and form unsaturated γ- Lactone.
