Function:
UV absorption function: Ethylhexyl triazone is a highly efficient UV absorber that can absorb UVA band (320 – 400nm) in ultraviolet rays.
Photostability: This substance has good photostability. After absorbing ultraviolet rays, its own structure is not easily destroyed and it can maintain its ability to absorb ultraviolet rays for a long time.
Application:
Plastic additives: During plastic processing, ethylhexyl triazone can be added as a UV stabilizer to plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP).
Exterior coatings: In exterior coatings such as architectural coatings, automotive coatings, and marine coatings, ethylhexyl triazone is used as a UV absorber to protect the coating layer from UV erosion and prevent the coating from fading, powdering, and peeling. It helps to maintain the color brightness and glossiness of the coating, improve the decorativeness and durability of the coating, and extend the maintenance cycle of the coating.
Textile finishing: In the textile finishing process, ethylhexyl triazone can be used to perform UV protection finishing on fabrics.
