Function:
Dioctyl sebacate, also known as bis (2-ethylhexyl) sebacate, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ethers, etc. Good compatibility with resins such as polyvinyl chloride, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, and rubber such as chloroprene rubber. Flammable. Relatively stable.
Application:
Dioctyl Sebacate has good low-temperature performance and plasticizing effect. It is a cold resistant plasticizer for plastics and polyvinyl chloride, and is also used as a lubricant for rubber, cables, and synthetic jet engines.
