Function:
The main function of diisononyl phthalate (DINP) is to act as a plasticizer. It can be embedded between polymer molecular chains, weakening the forces between polymer molecular chains.
Application:
In terms of building pipes, DINP is used to produce PVC pipes. These pipes include water pipes for water supply and drainage systems, electrical conduits for wires, etc. It makes the pipes flexible and easy to install and construct, while also enhancing the low-temperature resistance of the pipes, ensuring that the pipes will not become brittle and crack in cold environments.
DINP is widely used in the manufacture of automotive interior parts.
In the insulation and sheath materials of wires and cables, DINP as a plasticizer can provide good flexibility and electrical insulation properties.
