Function: 

Cesium hydroxide is the strongest known base and is described as the king of bases. It can be used as an electrode in alkaline batteries at sub zero temperatures and a polymerization catalyst for cyclosilane. Cesium hydroxide is also used as a raw material for the production of other cesium salts, such as cesium chloride, which in turn is used to produce metal cesium. Metal cesium is used in electronic components.
