Function:

Calcium thioglycolate (1:1) is used as a depilatory for skin or leather. Calcium thioglycolate is now the main hair removal agent. It destroys the disulfide bonds and peptides in the hair structure and reduces the mechanical strength of the hair under alkaline conditions. Due to the difference in its usage, it can reduce the mechanical strength of the hair. From soft to broken hair, it has been widely used in perm and depilatory cosmetics.
