Function:
Improve stability: By reacting with active groups in the material, TAIC can form stable chemical bonds inside the material, thereby improving the stability of the material and enabling it to better resist the influence of external environmental factors such as heat, light, oxidation, etc.
Adjust material properties: Adding it as a comonomer in the polymerization reaction can adjust the molecular structure and properties of the polymer, such as glass transition temperature, flexibility, hardness, etc., so that the polymer is more in line with the requirements of specific applications.
Application:
Thermoplastic plastics: used for the modification of thermoplastics such as polyolefins, polystyrene, and polyvinyl chloride, it can improve the heat resistance, mechanical strength, weather resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance of plastics, and expand the application range of thermoplastics. For example, in automotive parts, electronic and electrical housings, etc., the use of thermoplastics modified by TAIC can improve the quality and service life of products.
Photocurable coatings: In the photocurable coating system, TAIC can be used as an active diluent and crosslinking agent to reduce the viscosity of the coating, improve the fluidity and coating performance of the coating, and at the same time, a crosslinking reaction occurs under the action of the photoinitiator to form a three-dimensional network structure of the cured film, which improves the hardness, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and gloss of the coating.
